but there is hope that i won't be horseless for too long. Jubilee Arabians, where i am the offical barn photographer and a free-worker because i hang out there all day, offers some hope. there is a younger girl there and she takes lessons on a pony that the trainer bought just for her. she might be buying a pony in the next year or so, and if that happens, her lesson pony will be sold. since by then, if it does take a year, i would have been free-work for the trainer for two years. since it's a very private barn, people know almost everyone there yadda yadda yadda. since the trainer needs to keep a few lesson kids, he might buy me my "own" horse, so i can take of him, lesson on him, and act like he's mine. now seriously, how awesome would that be?
so Megan and i have been shopping for horses. she boards Concho at Jubilee, and she's dying for me to have something of my own to ride. to keep myself busy in the meantime, i have a chosen one of the 3 y/o's to teach some ground manners with grooming, etc. she's one of the calmer ones. [: her name is Natalia and she is a filly who needs consistancy because she has this tendency not to think.
all in all, things haven't plunged into the horrible... yet.
(i thought the obsessed mood was funny)
